We’ve hit the laughable point of the month. Remember yesterday, how I was giving myself a little pep talk about how I didn’t need a record day, I simply needed to get some butt-in-chair time? Well, I might need to say that more often, because I had my best day of the month. Granted, it was on a project that didn’t exist yesterday morning, so I technically broke the rules of NaNo, but I’m at the point in my career where every word counts.
Learning to be flexible seems to be the lesson for this year. I haven’t been in control of my characters for the past five years, so expecting this new pair to behave, or for old couples to shut up, is probably a bit much.
No, I didn’t work on my official NaNo project, but I started and finished the first draft of a freebie I’ve wanted to do for a while now. Next week, readers who loved the Homeruns series will get a look at the lives of the guys years later, and I’m stoked! I want so badly to post snippets of the story, but pretty much anything I share would ruin the surprise. All I will say is OMG, I missed these guys!!
Who in the hell knows what today will hold. Now that I’ve officially gone rogue, I’m rolling with it. I have not one, but three WIPs open on my computer. I’ll work on one until the words stop flowing, then move on to the next.
